About Akeso Vitality

AKESO (Aceso): The Greek goddess of curing sickness and healing wounds. Unlike her sister Panakeia (Panacea) (Cure-All) she represented the process of a curing, rather than the cure itself.

VITALITY: The power giving continuance of life, present in all living things ie ENERGY

The name represents the process of healing through energy, whether that be in the form of a physical muscle release correction (EMMETT Therapy), a vibrational kinesiology session (The Dawson Program) or a blend of the two; my goal is to help every client (Pet or Person) to live their happiest and healthiest life.

About Founder

My name is Kasey and I am the hands behind Akeso Vitality.

Originally from Stanthorpe, Qld, I have always been exposed to natural therapies in one way or another- from experiencing Dawson Program corrections at a young age to owning horses who would have various forms of body work done. It wasn't, however, until I was on my own health journey and looking for some sort of purpose in life, that I decided to start studying the 2 modalities that I now practice.

Originally starting the Emmett Technique training with horses, I quickly learned that the rider was often times as much (if not more) the cause of the issue than the horse's own imbalance. I also observed that some animals, no matter how many times I treated them, would continually go back out again, suggesting that we had not found the underlying problem.

At the time, I was experiencing my own health issues and was dissatisfied with Western Medical approaches and non-answers to my experiences, which led me to start searching for more information and consequently studying the Dawson Program.

In the 2 years after I embarked on this journey, I completed the Dawson Program introductory training course and then attended in the capacity as assistant (and now trainer) the following years. I completed five Emmett4Horses Modules, Touch for Health Levels 1 & 2 and an Anatomy and Physiology Bridging Course... All whilst working full time in an admin role, mentoring the Young Ambassadors for the Apple & Grape Harvest Festival, taking up the role of Communications Officer for the Dawson Program Support Network and started seeing clients in my own business.

At the beginning of 2022, I quit my admin job and spent the following 12 months travelling around to various horse competitions all over the East Coast of Australia. We road tripped as far north as Townsville and south to Geelong giving me the opportunity to experience some of the most incredible adventures, all whilst doing what I love.

In November 2022, I spent 3 weeks in Hobart working on projects for the Dawson Program Education & Development Network and was offered an opportunity to practice there full-time from February 2023, which I have seized with both hands.

To date, I have worked with horses, dogs, cattle, alpacas, donkeys and countless humans. I have had some of the most incredible experiences and met the most fantastic people and I am looking forward to seeing what new experiences find me in the clinic in Hobart!
